This limited-edition single malt is not just notable just as the oldest bottling ever released by the beloved Speyside distillery, but also as a celebration of one of the loveliest people in whisky: Glen Grant master distiller Dennis Malcolm.
The Glen Grant Dennis Malcolm 60th Anniversary Edition pays homage to his extraordinary tenure at the distillery with a fittingly extraordinary whisky: a single malt aged in a single oloroso sherry cask since 24 October 1960 and bottled 60 years later at a surprisingly youthful 52.8% ABV. The result is a vibrant yet elegant dram which showcases the full potential of long-aged sherried whisky.
Only 360 crystal decanters of this 60 year old single malt have been produced, with their shape based on the design of Glen Grant’s slender pot stills.
