Tasting note: Deep gold, brassy appearance. Initial passings reveal rich, sweet aromas of candied fruit, vanilla and clove with a faint suggestion of peat after several minutes of exposure. Medium to full bodied, with a supple mouth feel and a pleasant spiciness throughout, the palate offers mildly Sherried flavours by way of a semi sweet, fruit-malt interplay. Perfect balance.
The mid palate intensity finishes slightly short, followed by a faint dried fruit and vanilla aftertaste with the subtle spiciness persisting. Well rounded, easy drinking that meets the standard expectations from this distillery. 40%
