Description
The Lindores Abbey – Friar John Cor – Congregation Chapter II, bottled in 2023, comes from Scotland and is a whiskey/Lowlands. The bottle contains 60.9% alcohol by volume at the available cask strength.
The Friar John Cor Chapter 2 is matured in a selection of bourbon, STR wine barriques, and peated rum casks. Bottled at natural cask strength, this is as very limited release from Lindores.
Nose: Mellow maple syrup, roasted banana, fruity dates, apples and spicy cinnamon, caramelised demerara sugar with subtle waves of earthy peat.
Palate: Rich fruity pears, roasted banana with spicy cinnamon, caramelized nutty almonds followed by a pleasant smoky earthy peat and subtle maritime notes. Very smooth velvety texture, well balanced and complex.
Finish: Long lasting with lots of character.
