In the new era, the design of the Macallan house is always the highlight of their products. This is even more true for the Macallan Rare Cask Black Bot.2020 Release. The traditional bottle is beveled at a few corners to create a distinct personality. The bottle and box are black but still have a smooth opacity and gradation that gives the impression of every grain of oak on the bottle and case. Unfortunately, the dark bottle makes it impossible for the user to perceive the color of the wine before they are poured, which is okay – adding to the mystery.
This whiskey – like the rest of the Macallan family, has a story of its own and in wooden casks, its story is about rarity. There are less than 100 casks aged at the Macallan distillery that contribute to this exceptional whiskey. These mysterious casks remain in The Macallan’s dark warehouse under the supervision of the master winemakers, until they feel they are fit to enter the world.
Macallan tastes smoky? Very rare, and very few in number. Once used, these boxes are no longer available. Unexpected and exceptionally rich, Macallan Rare Cask Black Bot. 2020 Release is proud to be an incredible smoky whiskey of creativity and innovation.
