Description
The 6th release in Port Charlotte’s cask exploration series, PMC:01, has spent the second half of its maturation journey in Pomerol casks from Bordeaux’s Right Bank.
Pomerol is home to some of the finest and most sought-after red wines in the world and is the smallest of all the major Bordeaux wine appellations.
This release is presented with all-natural color, with no chill-filtration, and at 54.5% ABV. After initially being filled into first-fill Bourbon barrels in 2013 and matured for 4 years, it was then re-casked into Pomerol casks in 2017 and matured for the next 5 years. Expect a dram bursting with notes of oak, rich fruit, and gentle peat smoke – an unforgettable single malt.
