It is a single malt Scotch whisky, part of the essential range from one of the most iconic and traditionally dominant Speyside distilleries.
The first time Speyside Distilleries to get a license, The Glenlivet Whisky is a brand recognized as the ‘single malt which has started it all. It is one of the world’s most loving single malt whiskies. The 18-Year-Old, among other terms from the brand, has historically been an amazing artist at whisky tasting competitions throughout the world.
George Smith was the originator of the Glenlivet. He succeeded when introducing a drink that later became famous for its reputation and when it came to becoming the initially licensed distillery in Speyside. For this, new illegitimate distillers in the area made continual threats against Smith, in addition to his distillery, which made his resolution even stronger.
There is a slight touch of sherry peels, chewy sultanas, and barley sugars with toasted cereals with apple blossoms and petals—a dash of gentle wisps of smoke along with fudge.
The aroma is rich and full with notes of tannic oak as well as chewy. Moreover, it has walnut with cox’s apples, Manuka honey, and orange peels. A strong fragrance of all the fennel and spearmint, dry and long with a spicy oak note.
The finish of the whiskey is quite huge and well-rounded. It has named numerous praises in the forms of several awards like Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in the Single Malts and many more.
