Each year, Ardbeg Day crowns the last Saturday of Scotland’s Islay Music and Malt Festival
(Fèis ìle) – a day dedicated to the ultimate Islay For 2022 it’s The Ardbeg Ardcore.
The Ardbeg Ardcore makes a connection to Islay’s little-known punk past and honors ‘PUNK ELLEN’ – the forgotten nickname of the Port of Islay in the 1970s.
The distillery bottled the Ardbeg Ardcore in a green glass bottle. A capsule in a blue tarta pattern sits on the neck. A zipper is printed on it. A cork sits in the neck of the single malt whisky. There is an embossing on the bottle under the neck.
The label of the Ardbeg Ardcore is designed in the colors blue, black, yellow and red.
At the top sits the name of the whiskey on a blue background. According to the label, it is an “Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky”. The label describes the taste as “Like biting a spiky ball”. A short text is attached on a yellow background, which describes the character of the limited release.
