The Double Peat Blended Malt
A blended malt, taking specially selected Islay and Speyside malts, and combining these to produce a smoky and briny dram, with lots of savoury notes like bacon, peppers and maritime salty notes.
The two characters look like they were involved in the original ‘Whisky Galore’ film!
Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Smoky and intense with aromas of summer barbeques, grilled green pepper, embers and maritime saltiness, lifted with a grassy freshness.
Palate: Layers of peat reek and olive brine intertwine, displaying flavours of streaky bacon, fireplace soot, wood spices and smoke.
Finish: Notes of cigar smoke and liquorice slowly fade into tingly, sweet spices leaving a clove and anise linger on the tongue.
