Part of the triple cask range; the Macallan 18 Year Old was matured in a combination of European, American sherry seasoned oak casks and American ex-bourbon oak casks. A legendary whisky from a legendary distillery, both velvety smooth with some delightful earthy wood spice.
The nose is full of flavor, and very intriguing. Coconut ice cream, vanilla, dried orange, and flower petals.
The palate is soft, and velvety with a hint of spice. Orange, vanilla, sandalwood, nutmeg, cinnamon and wood spice.
The finish is long and smooth, with vanilla, chocolate, orange, raisins, and some wood smoke.
