Wild Turkey Forgiven Batch 303 is a limited-edition hybrid whiskey, which originated from one of the most renowned “happy accidents” in American whiskey history. A blending error at the Wild Turkey Distillery resulted in the combination of aged Kentucky straight bourbon and straight rye whiskey—a mistake that Master Distiller Jimmy Russell considered too exceptional to discard.
The result became the Forgiven series, first released in 2013 and now highly sought after by collectors.
Batch 303 is recognized as one of the more recent and highly sought-after releases. It presents a bourbon-dominant blend, complemented by rye that contributes lightness and spice, and is bottled at 91 proof (45.5% ABV).
One can anticipate aromas of caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, and baking spice, which then lead to a palate featuring brown sugar, cinnamon, pepper, and charred oak. The finish is extended, comforting, and rich with layers of sweetness and rye spice. This particular batch is celebrated for its accessibility, harmonious integration of flavors, and distinctive origin, positioning it as a remarkable offering for aficionados of Wild Turkey’s limited editions.
